Breman
This line brings back the spirit of the three courageous pioneers who, on 12 April 1928, first flew non-stop from East to West across the Atlantic. Eighty years later, the original AskAnia timepieces are available in limited editions. All of them have an unusual dial in common in the design of the legendary AskAnia compass, which showed those early aviation pioneers the way to the ne world.
Elly Beinhorn
At the age of 24, she flew to Africa all alone, got lost in the Sahara for four days and reappeared after a 90-km trek on foot in Timbuktu. She flew to Australia in her “Argus’ with it’s mere 80 hp engine. In 1935 she flew the most famous Messerschmidt Me 108 “Taifun” in one day from Gliwice in Silesia to Scutari on the Bosporous and back to Berlin. 3,470 km in thirteen and a half hours. Taifun
“Taifun” – Elly Beinhorn gave this nickname to the Messerschmidt Me 108. Also on board: AskAnias reliable timekeeper, whose looks and robustness provide the model for the Taifun watch line. The design of these watches have become hugely popular.
